VIRTUAL CLASSROOM: EDMODO

Today I will introduce Edmodo which is a product of LMS (Learning management system). Edmodo is an application that teachers can create their own classrooms and add their students. It offers tools such as exams, file sharing, and homework, where parents can follow and observe students. It takes education out of four walls, promotes learning at any time and place. In addition, teachers can connect with other teachers from all over the world and this enhances teachers' professional development. It provides information and material sharing.

There are 3 user groups; Teacher, student, and parent. In order to be able to use this site, firstly, you need to sign up. Students need a class code and parents are need to be invited.

After you sign up, you can start to create.








Teachers can assign tasks, set deadlines,check and give feedback to students. In addition to those, teachers can make an announcement, quiz, and exam. There are many positive sides for students such as they can comment on each other's posts.They can take rosettes by their teacher and this contributes to motivation. Parents can observe the development of their children.A plus for teachers and students is that they can archive what they have done for example, in the last photo you can see my works from my first-year classes. Just a little friendly advice from me is to be careful about being copied by others otherwise, you can get the lowest grades that you can ever have although you are not guilty like me ;)
